How we will be cooking this:

  • First of all wash, the Bamia. Take a small pot and fill it with 2 cups of water and add Bamia in it. Boil it on a medium flame for 10-15 minutes.
  • Peel the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes. Take a pot and heat it up with oil on a low flame. As the pot gets hot enough, add the tomatoes and keep on mixing. When tomatoes soften a little bit, add tomato paste and water and mix it very well.
  • Soon enough you see that our sauce has started boiling, that is when you pour boiled Bamia with all the water into the pot with sauce. Season this with spices, add salt and pepper and peeled garlic. Keep on boiling for 30 more minutes on a low flame and don’t forget to mix it once in a while.
  • You can eat this amazing sauce with any garnish your choice, bread, lavash or even by itself.
